Hey Coleman Dads (and fellow Dad's Group Alumni)!
The first full week of school is almost in the books, and you've survived thus far! Speaking of surviving week-to-week, HERE is a link to this year's Coleman Dad's Group NFL Survivor Pool. The Week 1 pick deadline is Sunday, September 13th at 10:00 AM (but there are also games on Wed Sep 9 and Thu Sep 10).
The buy-in is $20 per entry, with half of the proceeds going to Coleman and the other half up for grabs to the winner, in addition to obvious year-long bragging rights. Please venmo Ben Boyd (@Ben-Boyd-8) $20 for each entry you make, up to a maximum of 25 per account. Feel free to add multiple entries for yourself, family members, etc. Last 4 digits of my phone number are 0047 if venmo verification is needed, and PLEASE send the money as "payment between friends" so venmo doesn't take a fee. Please pay your buy-in when you join so my enforcers don't have to pay you a little visit before the season kicks-off.
If you've never heard of or played in a survivor league, the premise is pretty simple:
Each week of the NFL Season, you pick one team to win their game. If that team loses (or ties), you're eliminated. If that team wins, you move on to the next week, but you cannot pick that team again for the rest of the regular season. So, use your picks wisely and plan ahead... but don't get TOO cute, or you'll get eliminated. Last man, woman or child standing wins!
If your entry gets eliminated during the first 6 weeks of the season, you will have the option to buy back into the pool for an additional $20 fee each time. So, if you like losing and you love donating, this option is great for you! A quick note on buybacks - you must buy back in during the week after the loss. For example, if you lose in week 2, you must buy back in before the week 3 games, otherwise you are gone forever. Each week I will email all losing entries to ask about a buyback.
For further information and the full list of rules, you can find them at the link above.
The purpose of this pool is to raise funds for Coleman (and have some fun in the process), so please feel free to share the link with anyone who's interested. Just make sure they pay up!
Any questions, let me know (but please do not reply all to the email group). Otherwise, have fun and let the games begin!
Ben Boyd
